“That experience confirmed what I already knew in my heart — this was my purpose.”

My journey began when I saw children in my community struggling — hungry, unattended, and unable to go to school. I felt a calling to help, and in 2012 I started caring for a few children in my home. That experience confirmed what I already knew in my heart — this was my purpose.

I founded Phakamani with just five children. I built trust with parents, and over time the school grew. Today we have 30 children and three staff members, all learning and growing together.

With support from ACE and other partners, I am able to provide consistent care, pay our teachers, and invest in learning materials. My vision is to make Phakamani a safe, nurturing, well-equipped preschool the whole community can be proud of.
