Principal, Bumble Beez

“By 2030, I want Bumble Beez to be a preschool our whole community feels proud of.”

My journey began when a former teacher told me she saw a natural gift in me for working with children. I was working in retail, but I took a leap of faith, completed my ECD Level 4 qualification, and started volunteering at a local preschool.

In June 2024, I started Bumble Beez with just four children in a space at my family's church. I went door-to-door, spoke to parents, and slowly built trust in the community. Today, we have grown to 27 children and three staff members.

Despite limited resources, my vision is clear: by 2030, I want Bumble Beez to be a well-equipped, sustainable preschool that our whole community feels proud of.
