The Ingrid Diesel Scholarship Fund was established by Ingrid’s three daughters in loving memory of their mother, who raised them on her own. She actively contributed to improving the lives of small children in Knysna during her lifetime and continues to do so through the fund.

Every child deserves the opportunity to attend a quality preschool, but not every parent can afford to pay. The Ingrid Diesel Scholarship Fund provides bursaries for children attending The Learning Tree Model Preschool. Children of locally based single parents that are financially struggling commit to sending their children to preschool each day for a minimum of three years. The fund currently supports 12 children.

On the 9^th of August, The Ingrid Diesel Scholarship Fund hosted a golf day at Pezula Championship Golf Course. Over 100 golfers supported the initiative, with proceeds from the day going towards the fund.

A special thanks to Shelley, Debbie, Pippa and Barry Richards for their incredible support in making this day possible.  Thanks also to Pezula Golf Club for hosting the day. Finally, a big thank you to the golfers and donors that helped raise R229 790 towards children’s education.
