Leaving a Legacy

“We cannot fix all the big problems that exist in the world, but we can make a small dent in the ones we see before us, and that is what our donation was about.” – Tim Slajchert.

Tim and his wife first learned about KET in March 2023, when they were travelling South Africa on a Collette Bus tour. The tour visited one of the ECD facilities that we service, guided by KET staff.

Visiting from America, the couple were inspired by KET’s mission to raise the quality of education in vulnerable communities.  When Tim’s mother passed away, he chose to donate to KET because “An organization dedicated to teaching economically underprivileged children would have been something she would have supported.”

We are very grateful for his donation and that of others like him, who have chosen to support KET in honour of a loved one. If you would like to leave a legacy, bequests are a beautiful way to make helping those in need your final act.

In the words of Desmond Tutu – “Do a little bit of good where you are, it’s those little bits put together that overwhelm the world.”
