The Munga is the toughest mountain bike race on earth. It is a 5-day, 1071km race: non-stop through gruelling terrain at around 40 degrees celsius in some places to minus 2 degrees in others. Riders will have five resting points along the route, with no support crews. The race will start on 2 December 2015 in Bloemfontein and it will end in the Cape Winelands. Patric will use this challenge as an opportunity to ride as far as possible, while raising funds for KET. Supporters to Patric's cause include many Knysna locals - Mark Beard from Autolink, Gregory Hawley, 40 Degrees, Mark and Gail Sofianos from Blue Waters Construction, Cheryl Goble from Grass Roots B&B, Louise Wilson from Garden Route Events, and Pax and Lesley Mosterd.
The Knysna Education Trust and Garden Route Events have had a long and happy relationship and we are once again thrilled and privileged to be part of this fantastic initiative.
We would to extend our very best wishes to Patric for this event. We are behind you all the way and your efforts will go a long long way to helping make the lives of many young children just that little more special. If you'd like to show your support you can sponsor Patric's gruelling ride at R2/km with all proceeds being shared with KET. For every kilometre he rides, KET gets R1 to help make a little unprivileged person's Christmas a little brighter. The other R1 goes towards Patric's entry fee. Should you be interested to sponsor Patric for this race, please contact us at admin@knysnaedutrust.co.za. You can also track Patric's journey online by clicking here.

As more and more people discover the goodness in giving, it makes sense that we use technology to improve our ‘giving efficiency’. So we’ve removed the drag of chasing sponsors and collecting money from them after the event by automating the entire process.
Now all that FundRacers have to do is register on this site and share their link via email or social media to their entire network of friends and supporters.
Sponsors can donate via a direct payment gateway that ensures their donation goes directly to the account of the nominated charity.
You can be part of this fantastic initiative - http://big5fundracing.co.za/
You’ve Already Put In The Hard Work, Now Make It Count.
There’s a pleasure in racing that only racers can appreciate. Whether it’s the boost in endorphins or the reward of willing yourself to tackle the next hill day after day. Finishing the race may be its own reward but here’s the kicker – you’re already a winner because your friends, family and supporters will happily reward your efforts by sponsoring you on this race.
We are giving you a complementary ticket , here is how you can also give back!
1. Register
2. Set the target you’re aiming to raise.
3. Share your Knysna FundRacer profile by clicking on the Facebook, Twitter or email icon.
That’s it!
